The perfect bag for that LBD.

When we got this bag in, we thought of all the holiday parties we have to go to and how this bag will jazz up any of our LBD's!

Something Blue!

Wow! Our first blog entry!
The idea behind this blog is to keep our friends and customers up-to-date with new things we're seeing, new things we're loving, and of course, new things we're making. Today, I wanted to show you something we recently made for a bride we've been working with:
This is a simple but beautiful Hand-knotted Two-Strand Blue Topaz Necklace. The bride came in and she was dying to find something bold and blue to wear on her wedding day. We had made a version of this necklace but with long gold beads. We agreed that with her dress and considering her style, a white gold clasp and removing the gold beads would be perfect.

What I loved about this project is that this necklace will be a very special keepsake to always remind her of her wedding day. It is something that can be passed down and worn again and again. I think jewelry is so important because it with last a lot longer than the wedding dress and it can be brought out at any time. It reminds me of a piece of jewelry that I still have dreams about. My high school friend, Katie, got married probably almost ten years and she wore a brooch that has been in her family for generations. It was a beautiful piece made of diamonds and white gold in an oval shape. It's a piece of jewelry so special and with so much history for her family. It really touched me how it must have really made her feel connected that day to all the women who had worn it before her... Katie's brooch made me think of how important jewelry can be on the wedding day and how it should have meaning and be something that a bride has forever.
I think this blue topaz necklace with be such a piece for our client. I can't wait to see it on her when she comes to pick it up.
